No referral is needed. You can book directly through the website or by contacting the practice. However, we are always happy to work with your primary veterinarian when needed, especially for complex cases or second opinions.
This will depend on the type of consultation. Lameness and biomechanical consultations run around 2 hours, although if a full nerve block examination is performed this could extend longer.
General health consultations run up to 30mins, while chiropractic consultations run 60-90mins.
It helps to have your horse caught and clean, with a suitable area available for trotting up in hand. Any previous veterinary reports, imaging or treatment history is useful to have on hand if available or email them prior to the appointment
Yes. X-ray and ultrasound are available on the day where indicated. We will discuss what's required at the time of consultation and make a plan that suits the best outcome for you and your horse.
You'll receive a written clinical summary following every visit. If a rehabilitation program is recommended, this will be delivered through the EQ Active platform.
